My experience as a gen-z software engineer
It's been nearly a month since I've started working at emergent. So far
- Collabaration features on the emergent app
- enabled groq , grok models to agent
- Wrote a cron job for PVC snapshot deletion
- Enabled Stable Coin Payments
- Setup offer flow for Razorpay payments
- And many other small changes.
I have never ever read a single line of go code, and i wrote a cron job in it.
I mean this itself gotta explain how fast software development has become.
And this is all production level code for an app that a million people have used.
So when rate of writing software is so much faster and effective what is the down stream of that.
Can people who make niche apps still make money, What will all these micro apps do. And for my own projects one has to rethink how fast things can be done. Integrating stripe is not a 2 week endavour anymore, Write authentication is not weeks work, All of this has shrunk down to 2 days. and a day of testing.
